Shane Mullens is the assistant trainer at Diamond View Farms. Shane is from West Virginia where he got his start with the American Saddlebred many years ago working for Lewis Meadow at Eldorado Farm. From there Shane went onto work for Jimmy & Helen Robertson at Infinity Stables in Simpsonville, Ky. There he learned to work colts and manage the farm while Jimmy & Helen were at horse shows. Shane also spent a year and a half working for Joan Lurie at Willowbank Farm, he worked and assisted in managing the many stallions they stand. Shane's passion is working & breaking colts. Shane found his passion with Road horses not long after Diamond View Farms acquired straight off the track prospective road horse Magical Beginnings. Shane & Magical Beginnings went onto to have a wonderful 3 year winning streak with wins at River Ridge, May Classic, ASHAV, Shelbyville & Chattanooga( 3 yrs in a row). This teams biggest accomplishment came in 2011 when they won the Kentuck County Fair Championship. Shane was also teamed up with Diamond View Farm raised Master Blue to win the 2 yr old Fine Harness Stallion/Gelding class in 2012. Shane has also had winning drives with RWC Eclipse and I'm a Big Star. In 2011 Shane and Chappy ( Magical Beginnings) won the Kentucky Country Fair Roadster to Bike class at the Kentucky State Fair. Shane also has had much success with his small band of broodmares. In just a few colts raised, Shane is the proud breeder of 2013 WC Master Suite and RWC Just Browsing.
Ethan Roetman has joined our team in October 2015 to focus his efforts on the young horses at Diamond View Farm. Originally from Minnesota, Ethan began riding with Tom Volz and Cary Bartz and later rode for several other trainers in the area. In the fall of 2008, Ethan moved to Lexington, Kentucky to attend the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelors of Science in Equine Science & Management with a minor in Agricultural Economics. During his summers in Kentucky, Ethan worked for such trainers as Nelson Green, Ed & Lisa Millet and Neil Visser. Upon graduation, he went back to work for Nelson Green for an additional two and half years before coming to Diamond View Farm. While working under Nelson Green, he took care of such horses as RWGC WC Trust My Imagination, WC Katherine The Great, WC Daydream Celebrity, WC Daydream's Fashionista and RWC Forever A Mystery.
Kristen Bagdasarian- Owner/Trainer Kristen has grown up riding and showing American Saddlebreds all her life. A native of Madison, Ct,Kristen grew up with a public training farm right in their own backyard. After several years of showing on the Northeast circuit the Bagdasarian family moved their show horses to North Carolina. Kristen competed on the Southern circuit with several show horses, such as Roberta King, US Heir, and Spitfire Special. In the early 1990's Kristen acquired the Famous 5 Gaited Pony WCC CH Dixie Jewel.They went on to win the five gaited pony Championship at Louisville 4 different times. Another highlight of Kristen's Junior Exhibitor career was also impressive where she showed WC King's High Spirit to a 13 & Under five gaited World's Championship at Louisville. Kristen won the World's Championshp and 2 Reserve World Championships With WC King's High Spirit, before he was sold to the Stodd's to be Ryan Stodd's new mount. Kristen's final Junior Exhibitor horse was her beloved CH The Homecoming Hero. Less than one month after buying "Hero" Kristen won the Junior Exhibitor 5-Gaited World's Championship after an exciting 2 horse workout. Kristen then went on and showed Hero in the Ladies 5-gaited division and earned Reserve World's Championships.
Owning her own training barn has been a real dream come true for Kristen. In the past Kristen has trained such horses as Simbara's Bountiful, Rebel Rooster, Lady Hawke, Guy From Vegas, Packin' A Pistol, Lucky Curve, Magical Beginnings, Power of Attorney,RWC Eclipse,WC Pass With Care and WC Master Blue among many others that have won numerous titles under the Diamond View Farm Banner. Kristen also heads the Breeding program at DVF.
